Spring Fashion Celebrations

In conjunction with the Sydney Spring Fashion Festival, William Street, Paddington came alive yesterday with a celebration to fashion. The street was closed off and the shop owners came out onto the pavements.

The Australian Centre of photography in Oxford Street also joined in the salute to fashion with these wonderful models wearing beaded cloches.

An at home day

The only exciting thing that happened today - a spicy Chicken Laksa for lunch.

Also - William Street in Paddington is going to open on the last Thursday night of every month to give fashionista's the opportunity to linger longer outside of working hours. There will be brightly coloured lanterns to give the street an oriental bazaar look and feel.

A walk to the library

I live in the road that divides Woollahra from Paddington, at an equal distance from the Paddington Library in one direction and Bondi Junction in the other. Today I took a casual stroll to the Paddington Library. It's a pretty walk taking in some very interesting local landmarks.  The Paddington Resevoir, established in 1889 as a water resevoir; the Australian Centre of Photography; William Street, a fashion street sporting top Australian designers; Lucio's, a famous Italian Restaurant (make sure you enjoy the visible art on the walls) ; and streets full of Paddington's pretty, yet not all together practical, terrace houses.
This is a visual, rather than a written coverage of my neighbourhood.
